Baby camel born in U.K. zoo

Sophia was born to Bactrian camels mum Izzy and dad Oakley at Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire, boosting the herd’s total to eight. The calf's name holds a special meaning for the Zoological Society of London, the conservation charity which runs Whipsnade Zoo. Sophia Raffles was the first woman to become a fellow of ZSL in 1826, making ZSL the first society to admit women in the U.K.
